The Autistic Organisation can trace it's origins to early on in the last decade.
It was in fact, a natural response to the difficulties an autist may face when working towards independence.
The AO existed informally for several years before becoming a voluntary association in April 2008.
As we are ourselves autistic,
we believe we are in a unique position to anticipate the needs of the autistic community and to provide solutions.
We currently offer a range of services including a support and activities group,
an autism friendly volunteering scheme and we provide training and consultation.
