The Local Authority is currently inviting stakeholders to be involved in developing an ASD Action Plan for Ceredigion.

The AO is developing an online "real time" working draft available for editing and feedback through a range of media. We feel that this feature may especially appeal to the number of autists who prefer computer based social interaction.

Stakeholders wishing to contribute feedback and suggestions may do so through the "contact us" section of the site.

Feedback shall be incorporated as soon as practical.

Current considerations:

We work to embed ourselves in the community in order to reach even the most socially isolated.

We support the autistic community and the autistic forum involved in developing the action plan.

We support the wider stakeholders and work to provide greater access to the developing action plan.

We are aware of the difficulties faced by autists and the Police Service when a situation warrants their interaction. We offer advice and suggestions and
work to promote the equality of autists in the criminal justice system.

We appreciate the difficulties that local authorities face with assessing needs and providing support. We work with them to ensure needs are met and to
promote the equality of autists in need.
